GPS Field Mapping
All farm/field boundaries are mapped utilizing a four wheeler equipped with a GPS unit. Accurate boundaries and acreages are recorded and reported to the operator via hard copy maps. Digital shapefiles are also created that may be imported into GPS displays for planting and/or spraying boundaries.
TeamAg will drive all field boundaries with a four-wheeler and GPS unit to determine precise field boundaries and accurate acreages. A hardcopy and digital maps provided including: highways, roads, and streams along with the field boundaries labeled with name and acreage of each field.
GPS Grid Sampling
Field is laid out in 1 to 2.5 acre grids that are individually sampled. Sample results for each grid area geo-referenced allowing for the creation of prescription based nutrient applications based on grid results and interpolation maps.
Soil samples will be collected using the method the client prefers. Locations will be recorded with a GPS unit. The most common is 2.5 or 5 acre grids. The fertility results are attached to the points within the GIS, and maps showing the fertility variability will be printed. Soil type maps, when the data is available, will be printed. Hard copy soil sample results are included. Field mapping is included in this option.
GPS Zone Sampling
Zones from within a field are created based on various factors (soil type, yield maps, old field boundaries, etc.). Each zone is individually sampled. Sample results for each grid area geo-referenced allowing for the creation of prescription based nutrient applications based on grid results and interpolation maps.
GPS Yield Mapping and Analysis
Determine yield differences within your fields based on such factors soil type, variety, soil test levels, etc. Using SMS Advanced software, multi-year crop yield data can be calculated to pinpoint areas that consistently over/underperform.
